Astronomy Lecture at GTCC Attend the annual Astronomy Day (in the Fall) or Tri*Star Conference (in the Spring) public lecture held at Guilford Technical Community College. You can find details, including directions, here. To receive credit, take notes on the lecture (as if it were a class) and turn them in to me. Make a Solution Video Use screencast software to record your screen as you work a problem in OneNote. The problem you select should be at least moderately difficult. Let's discuss your chosen problem before you record, so I know it's a worthwhile project and you're not duplicating someone else's efforts. Use good problem-solving habits: draw a diagram, solve equations using variables, plug in numbers only near the end, check units. Verbally explain the problem as you do it. There should be a final credits screen (use your first name only) and the editing should be tight (cut out mistakes, umms and ahhs, or extraneous material). The final video should have VGA resolution (640×480), preferably in MP4 format. You are welcome to use any video editing software you prefer.
