Gravitational Field
In the classical view of gravity, a particle of mass m creates a gravitational field that extends infinitely in all directions that has a magnitude
g=Gm/r2
In the simulation below, you can add identical fixed particles and view the gravitational field at various locations around the particles. You can also add a test particle and view its motion in the gravitational field. Click on the objects and test particle to move them. If the particle's motion is being animated, then you can drag and release the particle to give it an initial velocity.
